Charming place - Spent almost a week there to relax in country side out of the tourist places around Pokhara. The guest house is absolutely charming, rooms well appointed and staff welcoming.
View... read more from the rooms is breathtaking, choose the deluxe room with private balcony, best place to relax and watch the annapurna mountains.
Nice trekking to do around, the French owner has great recommendation. I will recommend this place to all my friends and will go back there if (and I hope) I return To Nepal again!
1. Januar 1970Wonderful family destination - Mon Village is the perfect place to unwind. before after or instead of a trek in the Annapurna area.
Great views, great food, great management.

Tranquility after bumpy one hour drive from Pokhara - This is a very pretty setting in a traditional village. There are lots of activities within the village that are interesting, ie rice harvest in Nov. There is are two... read more short walks, one to a small waterfall and one to a viewpoint for morning mountain views, a long walk to a small hillside temple also with a view, and it could be the endpoint of a trek to Mardi Himal. The rooms are with and without attached toilets. The rooms without are on a small courtyard that is busier than the back rooms with attached toilets. These are two sets above and two below in two separate buildings. The style is an attractive traditional stone and wood. The rooms are large with a bedside table and a heavy cover for cold nights. Bathrooms are simple with open shower (there is hot water), toilet and sink. The views from the rooms are difficult with the lower roof and tall trees in the fields beyond. The best view of the mountains is a 15min walk that is also a nice walk. It is a very quiet village. The food was simple dal bhat but I think too simple. For the price, it should have included more than one vegetable, some greens would have been nice, local rice would have been a treat and maybe for dessert something besides caramelized bananas. A bit of recipe training might be helpful. Breakfast was typical fare, eggs, muesli, fruit, toast - all fine sitting outside in the sun. But this should change from day to day with other options. The road to get there is awful, but hopefully, that will change in the future as they are working on the road. I think the charge for the room is too high with a charge for each person. It would be better to pay one price for the room, even it is two people, then charge for the meals - given the simplicity of the food. The view is good but not full-on like other spots so this resort needs to give guests more for the money.
